Increase Transfer Rates with ICS and Broadband Connections (Windows 98) Category: Home > Network > Internet and Remote Access
If you are using Internet Connection Sharing ("ICS") with a broadband connection then remove this key to increase the performance.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Delete the value named "InternetMTU" and restart Windows for the change to take effect.
Note: This will only increase the internal performance with a broadband Internet connection (i.e. Cable or DSL). Do not use this tweak with modem connections.
