Disable ICQ Auto Update (All Windows) Category: Home > Software
When ICQ 2000 starts it checks whether a new update is available, depending on your network connection this may increase the time it takes to load. This setting lets you disable that check function.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new String value, or modify the existing value called 'Auto Update' using the settings below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
