Modify the Number of Duplicate ACKs for Fast Retransmit (Windows 2000/XP) Category: Home > Network > Protocols > TCP-IP
This parameter determines the number of duplicate ACKs that must be received for the same sequence number of sent data before "fast retransmit" is triggered to resend the segment that has been dropped in transit.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'TcpMaxDupAcks' using the settings below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
