Change Serial 56K Connection Speed (pcAnywhere) (All Windows)
Category: Home > Software > pcAnywhere

Use this item when a serial connection can be made at 38,400 bps and 115,000 bps, but not at 57,600 bps.

This setting changes the default serial speed from 57,600 bps to 56,000 bps when you select 57,600 bps. It does not affect TAPI serial speeds.

The default is not to change the serial speed. To use 56,000 bps instead of 57,600 bps, add the registry item as a DWORD and set it to a value other than zero.

Note: Use only for Digiboards under Windows NT.

Settings:
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\pcANYWHERE\CurrentVersion\System]
Name: SerialUse56000
Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value: (0 = Do not change, 1 = Change)

Disclaimer: Modifying the registry can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. We cannot guarantee that problems resulting from modifications to the registry can be solved. Use the information provided at your own risk.
