Disable Background Notification Balloon in Messenger (All Windows) Category: Home > Software > Windows Messenger
This tweak can be used to disable the popup message that notifies the user that Windows (MSN) Messenger is still running in the background when you close it.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new Binary value, or modify the existing value called 'DSBkgndMode' using the settings below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
