Disable SAP Packets for Netware Networks (Windows 95/98/Me) Category: Home > Network > Clients
By default Windows will send SAP packets to advertise available file and print shares when 'File and Print Sharing for Netware Networks' is enabled, this setting controls those packets.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new string value, or modify the existing value, named "Use_Sap" and set it to "0" to disable SAP packets.
In addition you may also be required to create another key named [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NcpServer\Parameters\Ndi\Params\Use_Sap] and set the (Default) value to equal "0".
Restart Windows for the change to take effect.
