Change Windows Update Text in Internet Explorer (All Windows) Category: Home > Software > Internet Explorer > Appearance
This tweak allows you to rename or remove the "Windows Update" menu item by entering a custom text value.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new String value, or modify the existing value called 'Windows Update Menu Text' using the settings below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
Note: Leaving the value blank will remove it from the menu.
