Restore Folder Windows at Startup (Windows XP) Category: Home > Windows > Windows Explorer
This option controls whether Windows will attempt to re-open any folders that were already open when the system was last shutdown.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'PersistBrowsers' using the settings below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
