View Enhanced Start Menu Folders (Windows XP) Category: Home > Windows > Start Menu and Taskbar
These settings allow you to customize which items are shown on the Windows XP enhanced Start Menu.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new DWORD value or modify the values from the list below setting them to either: "0" to disable the item, "1" to show the item or "2" to expand the contents.
Start_ShowControlPanel - Control Panel
Start_ShowMyComputer - My Computer
Start_ShowMyDocs - My Documents
Start_ShowMyMusic - My Music
Start_ShowMyPics - My Pictures
Start_ShowNetConn - Network Connections
You may need to restart Windows for the changes to take effect.
Note: These settings will not effect the Start Menu in Classic mode.
