Use Classic Search in Explorer (Windows XP) Category: Home > Windows > Windows Explorer > Search
This tweak allows you to disable the new Search Assistant and use the traditional search interface in Explorer.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new String value, or modify the existing value called 'Use Search Asst' using the settings below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
