Remove Username from the Start Menu (Windows XP) Category: Home > Windows > Start Menu and Taskbar
This restriction hides the current username normally displayed at the top of the Windows XP Start Menu.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'NoUserNameInStartMenu' using the settings below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
Note: This setting only applies to the Windows XP Start Menu, not the Classic Start Menu.
