These settings allow you to configure some of the Windows Script Host (WSH) features, including the option to disable the engine.

This setting is used to define whether trusted and untrusted scripts should be executed when using signature verification. By requiring a signature the system will only execute scripts from verified authors.

Change the Default Action for Script Files (All Windows)
Normally scripting files are run when double clicked, once applied this tweak will cause them to be shown in Notepad instead. This is useful to avoid accidental execution especially with the prevalence of script based viruses.

Hide the Legacy Logon Scripts (Windows 2000/XP)
This setting controls whether the output from legacy Windows NT 4.0 logon scripts is displayed in a console window as the script executes.

Hide the Logon Scripts (Windows 2000/XP)
This setting controls whether the output from the logon scripts is displayed in a console window as the script executes.

Hide the Logoff Scripts (Windows 2000/XP)
This setting controls whether the output from the logoff scripts is displayed in a console window as the script executes.

Run the Logon Scripts Synchronously (Windows 2000/XP)
This setting directs the system to wait for the logon scripts to finish running before it starts the Windows Explorer interface program and creates the desktop.

Run the Startup Scripts Asynchronously (Windows 2000/XP)
Startup scripts are files that run before the user logs on. Normally the startup scripts run consecutively, but when this setting is enabled the scripts can run simultaneously.

Hide the Startup Scripts (Windows 2000/XP)
This setting controls whether the output from the startup scripts is displayed in a console window as the script executes.

Hide the Shutdown Scripts (Windows 2000/XP)
This setting controls whether the output from the shutdown scripts is displayed in a console window as the script executes.

Run Logon Scripts Synchronously (Windows NT/2000/XP)
This setting controls whether the system should wait for the logon scripts to complete before starting the users shell or whether the scripts should run asynchronously.
